What she captures (the 5 fields, every time)¶
- Caller's name
- Address + postcode
- What the job is (in their words — "boiler", "leak", "fuse box")
- Urgency — emergency vs can wait
- Best callback number
Hard safety rules¶
- Gas leak / smell of gas / carbon monoxide → Polly immediately says:
"If you can smell gas, please leave the property, don't touch any switches, and call the National Gas Emergency line on 0800 111 999 right now. I'll still pass your details to [name]." Then captures details. Never quotes prices, gives advice, or promises a time.
- AI disclosure — only if asked directly:
"I'm the automated assistant for [business], but I'll make sure [name] gets all your details."
Handoff¶
End of call → bridge posts the captured fields to:
- SMS to trade's mobile (template:
NEW JOB via missed call / Name: ... / Postcode: ... / Job: ... / Urgency: ... / Callback: ...) - Email to trade's address (same format)

Known issues & decisions¶
endCallFunctionEnabledtiming pending review — sometimes Polly says goodbye but lingers ~1.5s before hangup. Cosmetic.- Vapi auto-recharge ON since 2026-06-12 — silent-killer risk mitigated.
- Vapi transient timeouts are reported as
skipped(silent) in monitoring, notyellow— eliminates flap noise.
